The Fanciful Doll by Teena Green

My hand-painted clay dolls are inspired by nature and an old-world feeling. Each doll is individually sculpted and painted by hand, giving every face its own personality and emotion. I dress them in carefully chosen fabrics, mixing color, texture, and whimsical details. No two dolls are ever exactly alike. The dolls are designed with jointed limbs, allowing them to move with a playful, lifelike quality. Through my work, I hope to create pieces that feel nostalgic, magical, and inspire joy.

I currently live in Freeland, Michigan. Originally from Canada, I relocated to the USA in the fall of 2024. Both my father and grandmother were artists and provided me with opportunities to sew, paint, and sketch throughout my childhood.  Sculpting began later in life when I discovered I could bring my imagination to life with tiny dolls. I found quiet stories hidden behind their gentle expressions and enjoyed their tiny world of whimsy and wonder.
