Teena Surma is a self-taught Artist and Doll Maker from Bancroft, Ontario.  There she resides with her husband, little dog Hana-Banana, and a house full of dolls and drying doll parts.  Her journey as a doll maker began in 2012 after falling in love with vintage marionette puppets and antique dolls.  She was inspired by their beauty and personalities.  On Teena’s own adventure in making dolls and puppets, she chose to work with air dry paper clay to create one of a kind pieces.  She uses vintage materials, strings, lace and bits for their costumes and natural fibers such as alpaca or wool for their needle-felted hair.  Each doll has her own personality and has a special name picked out.
